Cherry Ali qualified as a dental nurse in 1982. Alongside general dental nursing Cherry took an active interest in management and went on to gain the BTEC Professional Certificate in Dental Practice Management in 2004.
In 2002 Cherry joined the staff at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill initially as the Senior Dental Nurse of the Dental Access Centre overseeing the day to day running of the department at East Surrey Hospital and its peripheral clinics at Caterham Dene Hospital, Dorking Hospital and Merstham Clinic. Later on her role developed and she became Senior Special Care Dental Nurse after gaining her Certificate in Special Care Dental Nursing in 2008. In 2013 Cherry returned to general practice and took on a supervisory/managerial role, currently working as a practice manager.
Cherry has taken an active part in the training and development of dental nurses and holds the A1 Assessors Certificate and Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Certificate. Cherry is the online tutor for the Certificate in Special Care Dental Nursing programme.
